22 Jan Carey Tool Hire Set for New Site at Blackash
The Cork based and Family owned Carey Tools – looks to mark its 60th Birthday with a move to a new dedicated & purpose built site at Black Ash on the Kinsale Road. This new high-profile site just off the South Link sees 85,000 to 100,000 vehicles pass daily, which is undoubtedly good news for Carey Tools as it begins preparations to make the move from its recently closed inner city site on Albert Quay. The new site will allow for a whopping 47,000 sq. ft of development on completion of all planned phases.
Speaking on the development, Ken Carey, Director at Carey Tools said they were

The deal comes as part of a mutually beneficial deal between our clients JCD group and Carey tools that gives the Black Ash Site to the latter and paves the way for JCD group to move ahead with their planned 25-storey apartment complex on the former Carey tools and Sextant site at Albert Quay. A landmark project for Cork which we came on board with as CGI and Animation Consultants.
With An Bord Pleanála to make a decision of the Albert Quay site by the 26th Feb 2020 – The new Carey Tools location is set to begin construction in March 2020 and a move in date of December 2020. In the meantime, Carey Tool Hire have other outlets at Ballincollig, Cork and Ennis, Co. Clare.
